Servo-Controls
Both hydraulic/electric machines and the servo-cylinders are driven by Servo-Controls.
Depending on the system, the electronics can also control the hydraulic power units or the manifold operating on the machine.
The electronics control, monitor, manage and record all test parameters.
The RT3 system is the result of a customised design based on the integration of technologically advanced components that are reliable, easy to find and to replace with the same ones in their more advanced versions that the market from time to time will offer.
It is built on National Instrument’s Real Time hardware platform and the software is fully developed with LabView. In particular, the RT3 system consists of an “embedded” computer and one or more acquisition and generation boards that are selected and matched according to the specific features of the final application. The different components are available on the market and are easy to find in case of updates or improbable failure.
The RT3 control system is managed by a software application that works with a Real Time operating system and interfaces through a Ethernet network link with a normal PC in a Windows system, where a software application developed with LabView for system management, user interface and storage of configurations and acquired data resides.
In the RT3 system, the electronic modules for transducer conditioning, servo-valve control and hydraulic equipment management are integrated.
According to these ideas and considering the versatility of its software, the system will remain valid and up to date over time to meet the growing future operational needs.
The particular initial configurations of the acquisition and generation boards allows to define the number of control channels for the creation of complex test equipment.
